Wenger Delemont forged knives: The nature of the one-piece construction forged blades means the knives have excellent balance and wear resistance and a long lasting sharp edge – and the quality of their manufacture is assured by the fact they are finished and sharpened by a master sharpener, in the same factory as the famous Genuine Swiss Army Knives. The black handle formed around the tang is made of dishwasher resistant PolyOxy Methylenes (POM), reinforced with fiberglass to improve wear and abrasion resistance. They feature ergonomically shaped handles to reduce hand fatigue during use and have a unique look developed from a fusion of Asian and European styling.

About Wenger
Wenger was founded in 1893 in Switzerland. Today they not only offer the world-famous Genuine Swiss Army knives, but also a range of knives for every job. The Delemont Forged line of knives combines extensive experience and a unique sleek design with all the improved qualities offered by forged blades in a product that provides excellent price to value. The nature of the one-piece construction forged blades means the knives have excellent balance and wear resistance and a long lasting sharp edge – and the quality of their manufacture is assured by the fact they are finished and sharpened by a master sharpener. The forged blades are created by pressing hot stainless steel into a mould and hammering it into shape. The blade goes through various subsequent processes to enhance its flexibility, density and hardness and is then machined into shape with a bolster and a full tang that extends through the handle. Finally, the blade surfaces are finely polished by hand – not machine – to remove imperfections that mechanical polishing would miss. This creates an almost flawless uniformity that, combined with top quality hardened steel, results in a Wenger knife that offers incomparable cutting performance and performs as well years later as it does brand new.
