In our hectic lives it's often hard to find the time for a good home cooked meal. The Pressure Cooker will help you reduce the preparation time significantly while preserving valuable nutritions and vitamins. Food gets done in 1/3 of the time than using a regular pot, and tastes better than cooked in a microwave. So get a Pressure Cooker and eat more Fast food. We offer different lines of pressure cookers from WMF and Fissler. Both manufacture in Germany. For more information on pressure cookers and how they work please scroll down a little. How does a pressure cooker work? The pressure cooker shortens the cooking time with the pressure generated from the liquid in the pressure cooker. The lid fits airtight on the pot. When heated, the liquid in the pot evaporates but can't escape the pot. This builds up the pressure. The pressure increases the temperature and therefore accelerates the cooking time. The pressure infuses the hot steam into the food, keeping it juicier and tastier. Your cooking is healthier and saves you both time and energy. How do I know the food is done? Since you can't open the pressure cooker during the cooking process you need a time table for the food you are preparing. All pressure cookers come with a recipe book and timetable. Cooking time not only depends on the type of food but also on the amount. Just as an example, vegetables cook between 1 and 4 minutes, a beef stew takes about 20 minutes, meat balls are done in 4-8 minutes, in bone chicken breast takes 8-10 minutes. Mashed potates can be done in 15 minutes including the time to mash them after cooking. |
